For admission into the online master’s in sport management program, you must hold a bachelor’s degree and provide transcripts from all institutions previously attended as well as meet the requirements below.
Admission Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Official transcripts
- No GMAT required
Online M.S. in Sport Management admission requirements (based on undergraduate GPA)
- Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended
- Current resume
- A statement of purpose that discusses career goals and why you are pursuing a career in sports. (Up to 1,000 words.)
Students with an overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 or lower are highly encouraged to also submit up to three letters of recommendation as part of their application materials. Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended, regardless if they appear on the degree awarding transcript or not, should be mailed directly from the institution(s) to UW-Parkside at this address:

The M.S. in Sport Management online curriculum is comprised of 33 credit hours, including 21 credit hours of core courses, six credit hours of tier 1 courses, and six credit hours of tier 2 courses.
You must take the following Sport Management Core Courses
You must take two of the following tier 1 courses.
A student either needs to take MSSM 791 and MSSM 794 together, or MSSM 798 twice to get to the required 6 credits.
