Earn an MBA in Supply Chain in One Year

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Supply Chain Management online can prepare business professionals for challenging and rewarding specialist and leadership positions in a rapidly growing industry. Given that the pay for many of these positions starts at six figures, you might expect the time and monetary investments to be considerable, if not prohibitive. Not long ago, you would have been correct. Earning an MBA on campus would have required a two-year hiatus from work, as well as a mortgage-size tuition investment. Today, you have a much more practical option, with no less prestige in the academic and business communities.

An AACSB-Accredited Program

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside College of Business — part of the larger University of Wisconsin system — holds accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). AACSB accreditation signifies relevant curricula and high-caliber faculty, not to mention the educational and career opportunities available to graduates. Fewer than 5% of schools granting business degrees worldwide have earned AACSB accreditation. Considerably more employers recruit from accredited schools, and graduates typically receive better salaries. As a professional with aspirations to get the most from your investment, you'll want to check for AACSB accreditation for assurance of an education that employers value today and tomorrow.

Accelerated, Affordable, and Convenient

Total tuition for UW-Parkside's 30-credit-hour program is just $18,000 for in-state and out-of-state students. All fees are included, so this represents an extraordinary value at just $600 per credit hour. This accelerated program can be completed in as few as 12 months by taking two courses at a time, for seven weeks each. The curriculum comprises 30 credit hours, including 24 credit hours of MBA core courses, four credit hours of required electives, and two credit hours of specialized electives.

Applicants may be granted a waiver of one or both of the required foundation courses (MBA 502: Finance & Accounting and MBA 512: Statistics & Economics) based on a review of official transcripts. There are four terms, one each season, so you can choose the start date that best suits your goals.

Training Valued by Employers

The accelerated online format delivers the flexibility you need to meet your professional and personal obligations while you work toward your MBA. In addition, the format also meets industry and employer needs to fill high-demand positions with highly educated and experienced professionals.

Employers value graduates of the UW-Parkside MBA program for their well-rounded expertise in network planning, inventory management, risk pooling, strategic alliances, ethics, logistics and sustainability. Our graduates are ready to apply management techniques used to enhance decision-making, such as supply contract methods, inventory management, network planning and distribution strategies. They also develop specific proficiencies of their choosing, through electives in integrated marketing communications, global marketing management, key account and sales management strategies, or optimization techniques.

The curriculum in this program undergoes frequent revisions to remain relevant with industry trends, in part based on recommendations from our business advisory board consisting of approximately 30 senior business leaders and entrepreneurs from varied management backgrounds. As you explore your options for advancing your supply chain career, consider how well this program aligns with your professional and personal objectives.
